This past weekend I attended the World Photography Festival in San Francisco. I landed a day earlier in order to say hello to some important people to me as well as hang out with my family that I hardly get to see. I went back to the Academy of Art to say hello to Ms. Alyson Belcher to catch up and say hello. When I entered the building I saw the beautiful works of a friend of mine, Mr. Ryan Notch. The majority of Ryan's work is commercial with amazing food manipulations which shows a tremendous amount of technical skills and a sophisticated eye. I was happy to see Ryan's body of work titled Out of the Blue which incorporates wonderful Holga images of landscape and seascapes. The colors are refreshing and I enjoy the smaller size prints which provide a sense of preciousness to it.
