WWII Color Photo Round-Ups

Color photos of World War II have been making the internet rounds lately. Particularly, snapshots of London during WWII & the havoc of Nazi bombings and some shots from before and after D-Day. It's always fascinating to see a world usually seen in black-and-white in color.

Lady Di..

Lady Di is a nick name she received and I kinda like it. Ms. Abapo is a very talented young photographer who I had the pleasure to meet. I had 3 shota left on a roll of film and had forgot I had my camera on me. When I ask people If I could take their portraits they usually get self conscious but Diane was was quick to let me shoot her. Check out her new tattoo.

Margo Ovcharenko

I forgot how I came across this amazing emerging photographer. I just know I bookmarked Margo a while ago to blog about her work. I enjoy Margo's idea of "silence" in her work. Relatively new, she has been apart of numerous exhibitions and has had solo shows.
Margo puts it best in her own words
"I concentrate my work on light, colour, silence and on the look that accompagny the spectator into the work without imposing anything, without brutality. I love taking pictures of people between their childhood and their age of maturity. "

Oh Snap Photography group show reception

In San Diego at the Thumbprint Gallery I was apart of a group show that included myself, Mike Herana, Robeast, and Deehoz. It was a fun time and I saw alot of old friends and familiar faces. It felt really good to show in San Diego. It was a place where I grew up to be a man, and I have established roots there. Im thankful for the Pop Chips sponsor for the night. Kromskop: Color Photos of SF After the Great Quake

The Associated Press reports a museum volunteer unearthed the earliest known color photographs of San Francisco, taken immediately after the 1906 earthquake. These photos, taken through a technique known as Kromskop, developed by Frederic Eugene Ives, are in stereoscopic form.
